Test Tube Babies… All you wanted to know

Test Tube Baby Centre In Punjab

With evolution came great development in science and technology. Industries sprang up world over. Commerce grew in leaps and bounds. The barter system had long since given way to currency of some kind or the other. People got jobs and they earned money.

With all this happening in the world it was no surprise that medicine too was affected by curious minds and keen brains. Surgery found its feet, pills and tablets and their chemical compositions were discovered. Each new discovery meant that one more illness had been conquered.

In this whole new world of discovery and inventions people evolved and today we have solutions for practically every problem known to mankind. But along with this came other issues like stress and tension, fear and anxiety. All these have played a role in humans today and now our system has been affected too. One more problem had now reared its head… Lifestyle diseases like diabetes, infertility, obesity and hypertension to name a few.

There are so many people in the world today who are unable to conceive despite having no major health issues. The reasons for infertility are many, ranging from simple stress to congenital defects to just system errors in the body.

What does infertility mean?

Infertility refers to the reproductive system where conception does not take place despite regular unprotected intercourse. It means that either the uterus is unable to produce eggs or the sperm is unable to travel due to tubal blockage etc. or sperm motility could be the issue.

Whatever the problem, the underlying issue is that there is no pregnancy happening.

What are the options available?

Today medicine has progressed so much that infertility too has found solutions. No longer does the woman have to bear the stigma of being childless. There are many treatments available for treating infertility.

There are options like IVF and IUI, ICSI etc. There are Test Tube baby centres in Chandigarh where couples can go and get information on infertility.  Not only will they get detailed information on all infertility treatments they can also find out about Test Tube Baby Cost in Chandigarh in the Test Tube Baby Hospital in Chandigarh.

Is a Test Tube Baby Normal?

A test tube baby is as normal as you and me. The only factor that separates a test tube baby from a normally conceived on is that fact that the egg was fertilized outside the uterus and then the fertilized egg is injected into the uterus from where on the pregnancy is a normal one.

Abnormalities, if any, occur due to various other reasons. Being a test tube baby is not one of them. The age of the patient, the medical history, medical issues like thyroid or diabetes, hypertension or obesity are some of the factors that could lead to an abnormal baby. These factors are just some of the causes but it is highly possible that women with the above disorders go on to have perfectly normal pregnancy and delivery and deliver perfectly normal babies.

Can I select the gender of my baby?

Truth be told, yes, gender can be selected if a test tube baby is the planned action. But as per law, gender selection is not permitted in India and you could be jailed for it. The concerned medical professionals and the test tube baby center itself can be legally shut down if they allow gender selection. So, while the method allows for gender selection, the law does not.

What medical procedure can I expect?

Fertility medication is given to the patient to boost the production of eggs. When a sufficient number of follicles are mature, a transvaginal ultrasound-guided egg retrieval (egg aspiration) procedure is done to take the eggs from the follicles. At the Test Tube Baby Hospital in Chandigarh, the average time taken for the egg retrieval procedure depends on the physiological aspects of the patient.

Once eggs are retrieved then the sperm is collected from the father and the two are mixed. The fertilized eggs are then transferred into the uterus.

Rest assured that if your decision is to go with a test tube baby, it is the right one for your case.

Congratulations, you are going to become a Parent.
